No major issues to report. The community has been active on the dev and user mailing lists. The community is actively working on a Geronimo 3.0 release targeting support for OSGi and EE6.
There have been several releases in the last three months, and several more that are in process.
Geronimo 2.2 was released in December.
Some exploratory development work has been done on DayTrader for OSGi EE environments. There has been discussion about moving this work to the Aries project.
A vote for a GEP 2.2 release is currently active.
The Geronimo Samples are being updated in preparation for a 2.2 release.
The Geronimo implementation of the JSR-317 JPA 2.0 spec API was released on 20100117.
ApacheCon US held in November '09 included a half day dedicated to Geronimo. Presentations included:
Geronimo now has a blog - so far there are no posts.
A new Geronimo book has been published by Packt publishing: "Apache Geronimo 2.1: Quick Reference". We were contacted by the publisher offering to donate a portion of their proceeds to the project. This offer was forwarded to the fundraising mailing list.
There have been no new security flaws found in Geronimo since the last board report.
